아직 다 나오지 않은 Omen of the Stars를 빼고 나머지 시리즈들을 다 읽었는데 아이의 반응이 너무 좋았다.
하루에 세 권씩 재미있게 읽어서 이 주 정도에 다 읽어치운 시리즈이다.
숲을 지배하는 야생 여러 고양이들의 clan을 둘러싸고 벌어지는 여러가지 사건들과 견제,
음도도 있고 피터지는 싸움과 더불어 아주 다양한 캐릭터들을 중심으로 일어나는 감정적인 문제들 등등
주인공이 고양이이기는 하나 거의 한 편의 서사시 같은 느낌의 시리즈이다.
특히 남자아이들을 좋아할만한 내용들이 많고 꼭 남여를 가리지 않고도 뒤의 내용이 궁금하게 만드는
에린 헌터의 필력 때문에 자꾸 자꾸 읽고 싶어지는 시리즈이다.
주니어 김영사에서 고양이 전사들 시리즈 라고 나와 있는데 이 책들은 오리지널 시리즈만 번역되어 있어
그 뒤의 내용들은 번역서로는 접할 수 없다.
아이의 사랑을 듬뿍 받은 이 책은 또 한 번 읽혀지기를 기다리고 있고
반응이 너무 좋았기에 언제든 다시 또 손에 들 시리즈이다.
