* 엄마표 영어? 학원표 영어? - 도와줄 수 없는 부분은 학원의 도움을 받자.

1. 효과적인 영어책 읽기 및 어휘 습득 요령

*How to improve the reading achievement of children

1) Before reading - Activate Background Knowledge by Prediction,

                          - Introduce new vocabulary (vidualized picture card 사용하여 새로운 어휘 반복)

 

2) During reading - Guided Questions
                                 - Literal Question(책에서 바로 찾아 대답할 수 있는 질문)

                                 - Inferential Question (추론해서 대답할 수 있는 질문)

                                 - Extended Quesion (더 확장된 질문)                   

                                    ex) What did you learn after reading this story?

                          - Use graphic organizer

 

3) After reading - Retelling

                          - use retelling cards

                          - Five finger retell (초 저에게 유익한 방법)

                             Thumb : The characters are...

                             Middle finger : The problem is...

                             Ring finger : The events are...

                             Little finger : At the end...

                       - Summarizing

                       - Write a book report (summary + your opinion)

                            A good book report contains these six parts

                               : title(제목), author(작가), introduction(소개), description(묘사), opinion(의견), conclusion(결론)

 

2. 즐겁게 쓰기 환경 만들어 주기

: 영어그림일기와 저널로 시작하는 writing, 한문장 쓰기, 유치와 저학년인 경우 첨삭하지 말 것, 직접 그린 일기, 카드, 글 등을 벽에 걸어두어 쓰기 활동을 격려하기

ex) Interactive Text Feature wall(벽에 다양한 글들이나 단어 등등을 붙여서 볼 수 있게 하기)
